Film synopsis: "It Gets Better" is a film that looks at the lives of three different people in the LGBT community in Thailand. They share a theme about the problems that trans-gender people encounter in society. The first is about a young man coming back to Thailand from the USA to inherit his father's gay bar. The second is about a young boy who is caught dressing in women's clothes, and he gets sent to a Buddhist temple for repentance. The third is about a woman who goes to a remote village but is mistaken for a thief. These stories are all very touching and engaging. It brings to the surface the desires and needs of people, physical or emotional. "It Gets Better" tells the world that trans-gender lives are not easy even in a country with an open-minded attitude to sex. Most of the performers are born for these roles, as they are real-life transvestites and transgender people, some being well-known in entertainment circles.
